Last year we participated in our 4th Komen Race for the Cure and it was inspirational. It would mean a lot for us to see a lot of support for Connie and all the survivors on this walk again this year. Even if you can't make the walk please keep Connie and all breast cancer fighters in your thoughts and prayers.
Once again, I will offer up a chance to see me in a tutu...BUT this doesn't come free. I will wear the tutu when the team reaches $5000 in donations. Read more about my race efforts here...http://trumanreview.truman.edu/article/tutus-and-tiaras-trump-cancer/
Nearly 50 percent of women 40 and older in the United States who have insurance have not obtained a mammogram in the last year. Connie's prognosis is good, because of early dectection. Connie was diagnosed with her yearly mammogram, her third ever, it saved her life!
Your support helps us get one step closer to a world without breast cancer. 75 percent of the money raised through the Race stays in the community to fund local breast cancer education, screening and treatment programs. The remaining 25 percent supports groundbreaking breast cancer research.
The Greater Kansas City Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure® is playing an integral role in cancer education, screening and treatment. Through events like the Susan G.
